Inspection of Premises

INTRODUCTION

Premises Inspection Procedures course module is a category of the current course and is designed specifically as a guide in the conduct of training courses to provide knowledge and exposure on how to perform on-site examinations with the right procedures and meet the requirements and objectives of an effective inspection procedures in accordance with the Fire Services Act , 1988.

Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department is also very serious view of this matter because the work Premises Inspection is an important task and should be done as often as possible and uniform inspection procedures with the aim of preventing and reducing the risk of fire hazard exists percent . They are designed so that as the proper procedures and consistent implementation of the vision and mission to become A World-Class Fire Training Organization .


PURPOSE

  • Provide guidelines in conducting Premises Inspection Procedure .
  • References in doing the work Premises Inspection Procedure properly and effectively.



OBJECTIVES

Some of the objectives of the course has been designed to achieve the required targets to the end of the course , participants will be able to : -

  • Increase understanding of the implementation of inspection methods .
  • Increase knowledge and skills of inspection methods and testing of fire fighting equipment .
  • Increase your confidence and skills as well as skills and procedures related to the inspection of the premises .



QUALIFICATION COURSE PARTICIPANTS

  • Healthy body
  • Fire Officer Grade KB 17 and KB 29
  • Fire Officer to be appointed as enforcement officers , Officer in Charge of Station , Operations Officer , Division of Prevention and officials responsible for carrying out and inspection of the premises for the purpose of enforcement of the Fire Services Act 1988.



THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COURSE

This course will be conducted using a number of methods involving theoretical , practical and home use simulation as well as using the technique of lectures, discussions , group work movement , question and answer , paperwork ( form filling ), along with case studies.

The method is used in the course of two ( 2 ) forms of delivery , namely: -

  • theory
  • practical


COURSE DURATION

The implementation of this course is for five ( 5 ) days and all participants are required to attend courses until the end . This course is considered important because it is fundamental to the safety to prevent fire in the premises through the inspection procedure .
