R.I.M Course Team

INTRODUCTION

Motorcycle Handling Skills Basic RIM Module unit is designed as a guide in conducting courses for Fire Officer in the performance of duties as shock troops on motorcycles. Content in this module is to meet the needs and objectives of effective erasure.
 
The Department is seriously in need Motorcycling Rapid Response Unit in improving the image and the ability to perform the duties of the saving to the 'response time' faster. This requires competence and skills to efficiently and comply motorcycle Standard Operating Procedures and Rules of Road Safety in the pursuit of our vision and mission to be A World-Class Fire Training Organization.

 
 

PURPOSE

  • Provide guidance in conducting the Basic Motorcycle Handling Skills RIM Unit
  • Reference skills and techniques to ride correctly and safely .


OBJECTIVES
Several objectives have been designed to achieve the required targets in providing knowledge and skills and an understanding of the requirements of the Basic Motorcycle Handling Skills RIM Unit : -

  • Increasing knowledge of the roles and responsibilities based on Standard Operating Procedures as a whole .
  • Increase basic knowledge in theory and practical operation of high-powered motorcycles .
  • Increases sense of responsibility while operating a motorcycle.
  • Implement security aspects when riding a motorcycle .
  • Applying the techniques of special handling high-powered motorcycle .
  • Increase self-confidence when riding a motorcycle .
  • Increase knowledge of technical specifications for motorcycles and equipment .

 

QUALIFICATION COURSE PARTICIPANTS

  • RIM Unit Fire Officer healthy mentally and physically.
  • RIM Unit Fire Officer Grade KB17 , KB22 , KB24 and KB26 .
  • Fire Officer who possess a driving license class 'B' legitimate by the Road Transport Department of Malaysia .
  • RIM Unit Fire Officer elected by the State Director .
  • Training Officer and Manager of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Academy and the Fire and Rescue Training Center .

 

THE IMPLEMENTATION OF COURSE

This course will be conducted using several methods of learning involving theory and practical with a delivery through technical talks, lectures , discussions, and work .

Methods courses :

  • Theory .
  • Practical .
  • All participants must be able to follow all of the subjects in this method .



COURSE DURATION

The implementation of the course is 5 days and all participants must follow the course until the end. Period , which was formulated in accordance with the subject to ensure that all participants have a basic knowledge of bike handling RIM Unit.
