Basic Scuba Course


 

 

Preliminary

  • Scuba Course is a course that offers fundamental knowledge on JBPM members interested and directly involved in the work of rescue victims in the water.
  • Many risks and accidents involve victims drowned in rivers, lakes and picnic spots such as waterfalls and beaches. Therefore, the Basic scuba important to be exposed to all members of the Fire and Rescue Department Malaysia in particular the members who perform water rescues .

 

Purpose

  • As a basic scuba course to be followed by every member of discharging operations Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department.
  • To expose members interested in joining the department scuba unit.
  • Provide basic knowledge useful to the members in training or rescue operations in water.

 

Objectives

To ensure that the training and action taken before , during and after the activity carried water rescues correctly and safely according to established procedures in order to ;

  • Produce officers and men who have a basic knowledge in the field of water rescues.
  • Emphasizes safety aspects in the conduct of the work of rescue operations in water.
  • Ensure all diving equipment supplied is in good condition , complete and works all the time.

 


Duration of Course

  • The implementation of the course is 5 days and all participants must follow the course until the end. This course is considered essential for image enhancement and performance in one's career prospects firefighters.
